Are Sasha and Malia Obama just two normal teenagers? According to First Lady Michelle Obama, they are! During her Feb. 20 interview on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,’ Michelle shared that her two teen daughters want ‘nothing’ to do with her or the president, Barack Obama.
Michelle Obama really wants parents everywhere to know that her two teenagers, Sasha and Malia Obama, are just like yours. In a new interview, Michelle reveals that her daughters don’t like inviting their friends over to the White House and they definitely don’t want her or their father, President Barack Obama, coming to their school.
Michelle Obama’s Teens Want Nothing To Do With Her
On Feb. 20, 50-year-old First Lady Michelle Obama stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to discuss Obamacare, working to improve America’s health, and of course her two daughters, Sasha, 12, and Malia, 15.
“You know, it’s really interesting. My kids, they are fifteen and twelve, and they want nothing to do with us,” Michelle told Jimmy as the audience laughed. “I am so serious. Malia is like [...] please just don’t come to my school. Just keep your swat team.”
Malia & Sasha Crave ‘Normalcy’
While one might think that growing up in the White House would be super cool and brag worthy to teenagers, Michelle’s daughters prove otherwise.
“They really want normalcy and the White House isn’t normal, so they go other places.” Michelle explained during her Tonight Show interview. “I’ll say, ‘Don’t you want to invite your friends over to watch a movie?’ and they’ll say, ‘No, no one wants to come here.’”
