On the Feb. 20 episode of Couples Therapy the cast faces it’s hardest group therapy session ever. Dr. Jenn Berman has the group open up to each other about their haunting childhood dramas, which range from physical abuse to flat-out abandonment. Which celebs made the most progress?


Farrah Abraham Faces Her Abusive Mother
During the emotional group session hosted by Dr. Jenn, 22-year-old Farrah opens up about her troubling history of neglect and physical abuse. Dr. Jenn cracks the case that Farrah’s biggest problem in life has been that no one has ever been there for her, including the very moment she’s sitting alone on the couch talking about her sad childhood.
When Dr. Jenn invites Farrah’s mom, Debra Danielson, for a session, the tension grows as they begin to talk about their tumultuous relationship. Dr. Jenn is quick to call out Debra for not only being defensive, but also lying during their session. It doesn’t take long for Debra to start making excuses for abusing Farrah, and soon enough they are arguing about their broken relationship. Dr. Jenn tries to explain that Farrah needs support and empathy from her mother, and eventually Debra has her own emotional breakdown.
